Grief CEREMONIES

  • Rouwceremonies zijn bijeenkomsten waarin we ons door ons verdriet laten bewegen of ermee in beweging komen. We geven uitdrukking aan wat er in ons rouwt via beweging, geluid of een creatieve uitlaatklep zoals tekenen of schrijven. We komen samen in een geborgen setting, waar we door verschillende fasen worden geleid om contact te maken met de vaak verborgen emoties in onszelf. De setting moedigt kwetsbaarheid aan en biedt de mogelijkheid—niet alleen om je uit te drukken, maar ook, indien nodig, om gezien te worden in je verdriet.

    De ceremonie duurt doorgaans tussen de 2 en 4 uur, afhankelijk van het type ceremonie en het aantal deelnemers. Nadien is er ruimte om na te praten met thee en koekjes, en zijn er "shake it off"-tunes voor wie nog wat emoties wil loslaten.

  • Grief ceremonies are gatherings where we move with or are moved by grief, expressing it through movement, sound, or a creative outlet like drawing or writing. We come together in a brave, supportive space, where we are guided through different stages to connect with the often hidden parts of ourselves. The setting encourages vulnerability and gives the opportunity—not only to express but also, if needed, to be witnessed in your grief by a compassionate community.

    A grief ceremony typically lasts between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the type of ceremony and the number of participants. Afterward, there’s room for chatting with tea and cookies along with some "shake it off" tunes for those who wish to release lingering emotions.
