To acknowledge contradiction as a creative force within the soul / And I say thank you. //

“Each Monday morning, fellows gather for SEED SOURCING: a shared "storytelling" practice. In the fictional, parallel plane of this story-space, the familiar social and physical laws are suspended. Each fellow is invited to speak from the most direct contact with their inner world - offering story, vision, image, or language that arises from the deeper current beneath surface experience. The practice is oriented toward the sourcing of the seed: that initial pulse of freedom, imagination, desire and possibility from which creation emerges.”

“The negative is one of the closest friends of your destiny.” (John O'donohue)

Does that mean learning to be with discomfort?
Does that mean learning to be with difficulties?
Does that mean learning to love the parts of yourself that self sabotage?
Does that mean learning to see those parts of yourself not as sabotage?
Does that mean there is no sabotage?

The negative is never sabotage.
Perspective is.

To be hospitable or hostile,
To be both.
To acknowledge contradiction
as a creative force within the soul.

We are many opposites of ourselves.
We should welcome all.
and we can -
If we are no longer afraid of our own solitude and silence.

We need to be willing to get entirely undressed of all our flesh
to recognise the different stones our bones are made of.
To be in truthful presence in front of ourselves.
To be brave enough to sit in each mono-scape of our many landscapes
before we paint ourselves a world.

- on conversations with the land -

I don’t ask; it doesn’t feel like my place to ask for anything.
I share with the land, yes. I listen to the land, yes. I love the land, yes.
But I don’t ask it for anything.

I show myself raw and honest, yes.
I show myself anxious and uncertain, yes.
I share how I feel; my joy and my grief.
And I say thank you.
I offer myself as a vessel, yes.
But I don’t have any expectations.
I don’t ask.

I show up (as often as I can).
I’m present (I try to be as much as I can).
I listen (before, during and after, in many realms).
I trust (always).

I trust the land.
I trust the land’s intelligence of timing
I trust it knows exactly what to say and when,
what to give, what to hold back,
and that it has very good reasons to do so.

I don’t ask.
I listen and I trust.
